Description
The Renaissance was a period in European history between the 14th and 17th centuries that marked the waning of the Middle Ages and the rise of the modern world. It was a great period of revival of art, learning, and literature. Poetry and music reached new heights in the minds and hearts of the day. It was a time of astounding discoveries in science, geography, and classical scholarship. During the Renaissance, America was discovered and the Reformation began. Major figures of the Renaissance include Galileo, William Shakespeare, Leonardo da Vinci, and Michelangelo. Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Knox and many others were redefining man’s relationship with God and putting their pens to the task of writing revelations that carried awakenings and revivals for generations to come.
Renaissance means “rebirth” or “reawakening.” The term “renaissance” is often used to describe any revival or rediscovery. The Renaissance pen reflects an old-world design with its classic elegance. The beautiful old spalted maple is finished with the same recipe and technique used on violins from the Renaissance period. Great care and effort is given to honor the Renaissance past and celebrate Renaissance present.
